Creating magical experiences through artistic venues, KC Sanders experience with Disney Fine Art started as a young child and has grown within him ever since. KC would visit the Disneyland Resorts every year with his family, while growing up in Ogden, Utah. He thrived in the magic that the Walt Disney Imagineers created for him and millions around the world.
This energy and creativity drove KC to work for the Walt Disney Company. In early 2000, KC began working for the Walt Disney Company as part of the Merchandise Specialized Business Department. He specialized in global opportunities for artistic programs at the Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, Tokyo Disneyland Resort and the Disneyland Paris Resort.
KC has worked on many Fine Art programs for the Walt Disney Company beginning with the 2000 Official Disneyana Convention, Live and Silent Auction at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. This experience was the starting point of KC???s network of Disney Fine Artists, from the Disney Design Group which designs Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Merchandise to other Disney Fine Artists around the globe.
It was during the 2001 Official Disneyana Convention Live Auction at The Disneyland Resort in Southern California, when KC was the Project Manager for the first and only Million Dollar Mickey. The Million Dollar Mickey was the one and only 24kt solid gold Mickey Mouse sculpture created to celebrate the 100 years of Disney Magic and was a huge success.
As The Disney Gallery Exhibition Manager, located above the Pirates of Caribbean at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, KC oversaw many projects. These projects include:
